Can I access a family member’s test results?
Medical test results are confidential and are generally only available to the patient. Spouses or partners cannot access each other’s results, and parents cannot access the results of their adult children.
Important Update to Patient Portal Access
Effective July 1, 2026, newly created Alpha Laboratories Patient Portal accounts will no longer provide access to the laboratory results of minor children. This change applies only to Patient Portal accounts created on or after July 1, 2026. Existing Patient Portal accounts and current access settings will not be affected. Access to another individual's laboratory results continues to be subject to applicable consent and privacy requirements.
